Nicolas Bouvy is a professional press photographer with international experience who is currently based in Estonia.

He was born in Arlon, south of Belgium, on April 23, 1980 and studied photography in Liège, Belgium (Beaux-Arts Saint Luc).

Since 2003, based in Luxembourg, he was covering important European events as meetings in the Council of the European Union and other international politics, State visits and visits of Royal families, as well as sport events like cycling, soccer (UEFA cup, World Cup qualification games), basketball, the alpine skiing World Cup, tennis tournaments, Davis Cup and Formula One races. In addition, he was working on any local news events, demonstrations and portraits daily in Luxembourg and the Benelux region.

Nicolas has already covered multiple Tour de France races (in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013 and 2014), the Oman and Qatar Tours (in 2012 and 2013), French and Belgian cycling classics (in 2004-2014) like the Flanders Tour, Paris Roubaix, Flèche Wallonne, Liège Bastogne Liège, Amstel Gold Race.

Working for international photo agencies has allowed for his work to be published in all the main newspapers worldwide. Also, in April 2008, he received the prize of the “Tour de France best picture 2007” at Compiègne, France. Photography, he did as assigned by the newspaper La Voix du Luxembourg.

After being a correspondent photographer for the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) for 8 years, he moved to Northern Europe with his Estonian wife and is focusing on skateboard photography, as well as long term photo-stories.
